These rather nice looking Aluminium, CNC Billet machined in-hose adaptors for standard thermostatic fan controller inserts as used on most cars.
They can be fitted to any vehicle which uses 38mm inside diameter radiator hose.
Some older vehicles use 35mm hose but it will normally stretch over the ends of the adaptor. The adaptors are available in red or blue anodised finish either alone or with a dual temperature fan controller insert.
The thermostatic switch insert supplied is designed to switch one fan on at 88 degrees C and off at 83 and the other on at 92 and off at 87 which is about right for most vehicles.
The housing takes standard 22mm thread inserts, available from most motor factors (through Intermotor)
Full wiring instructions are provided for how to connect one or two fans, switched at different temperatures with an in-cab switch and indicator lights to override the fan on (run continuously) or off (neither fan running).
Alternatively, if you are running a single fan, you can connect it to have two ranges. Use the lower range when you need more cooling off-road or while towing for example and the higher range when you have more ram-air cooling on cold days or on the motorway.
The sensor is capable of switching 17A and will drive the most chunky fans available.
